Memorigin × Stephen Chow Film Tourbillon Watches

Memorigin × Stephen Chow

The Director's Cut

Since 2023, Memorigin has turned Stephen Chow's films into tourbillon watches through BGM, its joint venture with Bingo Group. Each carries the director's mark: notes given on set, designs put to his fans, a signature on the box.

Samples, reviewed on set

While Kung Fu Soccer was filming in Shenzhen, founder William Shum brought the watch samples to the set for Stephen Chow to see. Famously exacting, the director gave his notes on the spot, and the finished watches carry them. After the roadshow screenings in Hangzhou and Shenzhen, Chow sent Shum off with a promise: “See you in Hong Kong.”

Kung Fu Soccer Tourbillon

For the Emei Team

The film follows the Emei Team: martial artists turned footballers, written off by everyone, champions in the end. The open-worked dial moves like a match in play. It carries the team crest, a power reserve shaped as an open-work football, and carved Chinese clouds for their martial heritage. Two alligator straps, red and yellow, come in the team's colours.

Lee Cheuk-mei

“Golden Bell” in Kung Fu Soccer

A former national-level wrestler, Lee Cheuk-mei plays “Golden Bell” with real martial-arts power. For Memorigin she set the fighter aside and wore the Kung Fu Soccer watches in a softer, fashion-led look. “Whether it's a fight scene or a fashion event, I love both,” she says. “I hope audiences can see more sides of me.”

July – August 2026

A gift from the director

Kung Fu Soccer opened across mainland China on 11 July 2026 and in Hong Kong on 13 August. During a major online promotion for the film, Stephen Chow met the broadcaster Dong Yuhui and, on behalf of BGM, presented him with the Kung Fu Soccer Tourbillon: two people known for exacting standards in their own fields.

For every dream-chaser

King of Comedy, Stephen Chow's story of an extra who never gives up on his dream, topped Hong Kong's box office in 1999. For its 25th anniversary the dial becomes a film studio: reel, camera, spotlights, clapperboard hands, and an open dial where every part plays its role, on screen and off. Chow let his fans vote on the designs.

Nobody · 2024

No. 007, supervised by the director

The Nobody Tourbillon takes as its theme No. 007, the Nobody character held by Stephen Chow himself, and the director supervised it personally. The character, in cap and glasses, looks out from the dial. Fifty pieces, worldwide.

The Mermaid · 2023

A watch for the ocean

BGM's opening piece carries the conservation message of The Mermaid, written and directed by Stephen Chow, in an edition of 100. The colour-plated case shifts like the mermaid's tail on the poster; a sea-blue ripple plate lies beneath an 18K gold frame shaped like sand. In the dark, a luminous moon reveals a mermaid's silhouette.

From the director, personally

Kimbee Chan saw the Mermaid billboard by the Cross-Harbour Tunnel and ordered one. Stephen Chow reposted her with a reply: tea was on him.
