Prologue

Two generations, one pair of characters

In 2014 Memorigin and Hasbro worked together for the first time. A design team went through round after round of revisions to carry Optimus Prime and Bumblebee into skeleton dials of gilded metal, then had alligator straps dyed in each character’s colours. Fifty of each, never to be remade.

In 2017 they returned for Transformers: The Last Knight: bolder characters on a new movement with twin mainspring barrels, a day/night indicator and a power reserve display. 288 of each.

The movement

Two tourbillon calibres

Both generations carry a flying tourbillon at six o’clock, turning once every sixty seconds and wound by hand. The second adds twin mainspring barrels, a day/night indicator and a power reserve display.
