When the Classroom Meets the Real World
Posted by Memorigin on
Education has never been merely the transmission of knowledge, but an exchange of perspectives and ways of thinking.
Earlier, Memorigin’s Founder and CEO, William Shum, delivered a lecture to Master’s students from the Global Management programme at The University of Hong Kong, engaging with a group of young minds rich in ideas and potential. Within the classroom, theory met reflection; beyond it, those reflections began to extend into the real world.
Taking various corporate developments as their focus, the students conducted group research and stepped into Memorigin, bringing their studies into a real business setting. Through in-depth exchanges within the company, discussions centred on brand development, strategic thinking, and evolving market dynamics—each carefully unpacked and examined, allowing theory to be reinterpreted through real-world context.
Such interaction goes beyond academic exchange; it becomes a form of mutual learning. A new generation brings fresh perspectives and questions, while the enterprise offers insights shaped by experience and judgment—each inspiring the other through dialogue.
At times, the most valuable learning lies not within the structure of a classroom, but in the gradual formation of understanding through real-world dialogue and exchange.
For Memorigin, a company is not only about creating products, but about continuously accumulating and passing on experience, vision, and ways of thinking.
