To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Integrated Publicity Services Ltd (IPS) and the 10th year of the Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand Memorigin, the two local companies collaborated on creating the customizable MI Collection tourbillon watch. Since they both focus on innovation and creativity, the hands of the timepiece can be customized according to the customer’s preferences, enhancing the personal style. ‘It has been 10 years since I established the brand. One of the breakthroughs is to launch the watch customization service. Not only will it enrich the value of the watch, but it will also symbolize the exquisite watch craftsmanship of the brand,’ said William Shum, the Founder of Memorigin.
There is a romantic background of a starry metropolitan city on the dial. A diamond-embedded iPANDAS panda (the mascot of Integrated Publicity Services Ltd) stands at the center of the watch and tells time with its hands. Its uniqueness allows customers to personalize the hands and to turn them into alphabetical letters, numbers, or iconic logos. They can also choose the strap color to ensure that no one wears the same watch as them.
The MI Collection tourbillon watch is equipped with Memorigin’s in-house tourbillon movement, which has 153 pieces of components and 25 jewels. The 72-hour power reserve and the vibration frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour ensure its precision in telling time.
The Hong Kong renowned artist Michele Reis, M Tower’s main developer Sheng Tai International, and the co-developer Pioneer Fort International highly praise the watch design. They selected the MI Collection as gifts for the investors of The Sail M Tower, a groundbreaking mixed development project in Melaka. To align with the theme of M Tower, the hour hand is designed as iPANDAS holding an ‘M’ cube while the end of the minute hand is a star-shaped magic wand.
