Memorigin × Kung Fu Soccer Watch Collection

The highly anticipated new film Kung Fu Soccer, directed by the legendary "King of Comedy" Mr. Stephen Chow, has officially premiered nationwide in Mainland China, with its Hong Kong release set for 13 August. As one of the film’s sponsors, Memorigin Founder and CEO William Shum recently travelled to the Hangzhou and Shenzhen stops of the film’s roadshow, joining audiences across the Mainland in experiencing the film’s passion and energy.

Following the screenings, William was invited to join Mr. Stephen Chow for a commemorative photograph. Mr. Stephen Chow also warmly invited him to meet again in Hong Kong, creating a memorable moment for this collaboration.

To celebrate the release of Kung Fu Soccer , Bingo Group - Memorigin (BGM) Limited, the joint venture established by Bingo Group (08220) and Memorigin, a Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand, has specially launched an official collaboration collection comprising a tourbillon and an automatic timepiece.

Kung Fu Soccer tells the story of the “Emei Team”, who combine traditional Chinese martial arts with football. Facing adversity, they rely on faith and perseverance to overcome their challenges and surpass themselves. In tribute to this never-say-die spirit, BGM has created two collectible collaboration timepieces.

Kung Fu Soccer Toubillon Watch

The timepiece features an intricate skeletonised dial, revealing the mesmerising rhythm of the tourbillon movement and evoking the ever-changing dynamics of the football field, as well as the precision and agility of the players in action.

At 12 o’clock, the dial is adorned with the “Emei Team” emblem. At 9 o’clock, the power reserve indicator is presented in the form of an open-worked football, while the day/night display at 3 o’clock incorporates an engraved traditional Chinese auspicious cloud motif. These details echo the spirit of Chinese martial arts portrayed in the film, while also representing the team’s long hours of rigorous training and unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence.

The timepiece is accompanied by premium alligator leather straps in vivid red and bright yellow, inspired by the colours of the “Emei Team” uniforms, allowing collectors to express different styles.

Kung Fu Soccer Automatic Watch

The automatic timepiece adopts a striking red colour palette, with the dial artfully integrating classic football textures with the emblematic motif of the “Emei Team”, creating a bold and dynamic sporting aesthetic.

A clean three-hand configuration is paired with a date display, a zinc alloy case and a red sporty strap, offering an everyday wearing style that balances vitality with contemporary appeal.

This marks Memorigin’s third themed timepiece inspired by a film directed by Stephen Chow, following The Mermaid and The King of Comedy.

In pursuit of the finest artistic expression, William Shum travelled to Shenzhen to visit the film production team during the filming period, personally bringing watch samples for Stephen Chow’s consideration. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Stephen Chow also shared his valuable insights on site, allowing the timepiece designs to more closely capture the spirit of the film.

The Kung Fu Soccer Tourbillon and Automatic Watch are now officially available for purchase.
