Master Lam Tian Xing Paid a Visit to Memorigin

Earlier, Memorigin had the honour of welcoming renowned Hong Kong contemporary ink artist and Chairman of the Hong Kong Artists Association, Master Lam Tian Xing, for a visit and exchange of ideas.

During the visit, Mr. William Shum and his father, Shum Mak Ling, shared their private collection of Chinese and Western artworks accumulated over many years. From the poetic emptiness and restraint of Eastern ink painting to the structural depth and layering of Western art, the dialogue revealed a profound mutual understanding and resonance in aesthetic language.

Master Lam also appreciated the craftsmanship behind Memorigin’s tourbillon timepieces. The rhythmic motion of the movement, with its sense of cadence and layered complexity, echoed the expansion and restraint of ink brushstrokes—forming another interpretation of time through the interplay of motion and stillness.
