Falala FLY Automatic Watch

Last year, Hong Kong singer-songwriter Vic Teo of TMG collaborated with Memorigin, the renowned Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand, to create a tourbillon timepiece inspired by his signature fly character, “FaLaLa”. The collaboration received an enthusiastic response. This year, Vic returns with a fresh wave of creativity, unveiling his latest mechanical timepiece—the Falala FLY Automatic Watch.

Vic recently stepped into the studio for a promotional photoshoot, bringing the childlike theme to life through a series of lively and expressive poses. William Shum, Founder of Memorigin, also made a special appearance on set to show his support.

In contrast to last year’s tourbillon timepiece, which focused on elegance, luxury and collectability, Vic has taken a different direction this year with an automatic mechanical watch designed for everyday wear. He hopes the new timepiece will become part of everyday life, whether at casual gatherings or at work, adding a distinctive touch of playful humour and personality to any look.

The Falala FLY Automatic Watch carries forward Vic’s signature sense of childlike wonder through every detail. The minute sub-dial places Falala at the centre of attention, creating a lively rotating effect as time passes, as though the character is joyfully soaring across the dial. Adding an unexpected touch of humour, the hour hand is specially designed as Falala’s best friend—a charming little “poop”—creating a playful sense of interaction and pursuit between the two “golden partners” across the dial. At 12 o’clock, a small flower beloved by Falala serves as the hour marker, symbolising that every minute and every second can be a beautiful moment.

In its choice of materials and overall aesthetic, the timepiece embraces a lightweight, contemporary look, featuring a transparent polycarbonate case paired with a pure white rubber strap. A black dotted flight path extends across the pristine white strap, tracing Falala’s journey and capturing the enduring sense of childlike innocence that remains at the heart of Vic’s creative world.

From last year’s expression of refined luxury to this year’s playful approach to everyday wear, Vic uses the Falala FLY Automatic Watch to explore the many possibilities of mechanical watchmaking. More than a collectible, it represents an attitude towards everyday wear.
