Memorigin x Stephen Chow

Four films, one workshop.

Comedy is timing. So is a tourbillon.

Since 2023 Memorigin has built four watches around Stephen Chow's films - not merchandise with a logo on the dial, but movements and cases designed around what each film was about. The collaborations run through BGM, our joint venture with Bigger Picture Group (HKEX: 08220), and the director has supervised the work personally.

Kung Fu Soccer, 2026. The Emei team play football the way the old schools fought - badly funded, outnumbered, unwilling to lose. Two pieces mark the film: a tourbillon at HK$42,800 and an automatic at HK$3,988, so the story is not only for collectors.

King of Comedy, 25th anniversary, 2024. The film that made "I'm an actor" a line every Hong Kong household can finish. A quarter of a century on, a tourbillon for the people who were there the first time.

Nobody, 2024, fifty pieces worldwide. Built around the 007 Nobody character, supervised by the director himself, and never repeated.

The Mermaid, 2023. The first of the four, and still the most romantic - three versions, one of them limited.

Why a tourbillon. A tourbillon turns the escapement against gravity, once a minute, for as long as the watch runs. It is the most demanding thing a watchmaker can ask of a movement, and Hong Kong makes them here, in Chai Wan, by hand.
