Memorigin × Star Wars
Captain Phasma, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and R2-D2, each designed by Hong Kong composer Mark Lui around a flying tourbillon. Five hundred were made. All four are here now.
The piece that opened the series. Her chrome helmet is reduced to a few clean lines, with black film where the visor sits so the movement shows through.
Black from case to bracelet. The mask is cut open at the mouth, and the movement shows through the gap.
He takes Vader as his model, and so does the watch. The mask sits over the tourbillon; the nylon strap stands in for his cloak.
Seen from above, the way he sits in an X-wing. His dome becomes the dial, and the tourbillon parts show through its blue filter.
All four were designed by Mark Lui, one of Hong Kong’s best-known composers and a Star Wars fan. With so many characters to choose from, he called the brief a happy problem.
